The classification and scientific nomenclature follows Grimmett,R. Inskipp.C. & Inskipp. T: Birds of Indian Subcontinent. The sightings are mostly from within the Ranthambhore National Park which is the main destination for the wildlife tourists. However major water bodies lie either at the edge of the Tiger reserve or with in 10 Km distance. Hence Surwal Area sightings are also included.
